OPTOMAN in the last 7 years grew from 0 to €7M with one of the top EBITDA margins in the industry, having 40+ people team. We became recognized as one of the primary choices when customers can’t find a solution in the market or are not satisfied with the quality of other vendors.

We reached that by bootstrapping, so yes, we’re frugal but demanding for ourselves and others, we are humbled and constantly looking to improve. However, we don’t stop here and are looking to the next stage of growth. In the next 5 years, we have ambitions to grow from €7M to 5X, and keep transforming the Photonics industry to new levels.

The Role

As CEO, you’ll play a leading role in ensuring that OPTOMAN achieves short and long-term goals and vision. We expect you will build, develop, lead and retain an exceptional team, making OPTOMAN the most desirable place for ambitious and with strong getting things done attitude people to work. You will work directly with the founders and will be fully responsible for P&L and the company’s value growth!

In this role, you will:

Develop OPTOMAN’s short- and long-term vision and strategy in alignment with the rapidly evolving market and shareholders.
Attract, develop, inspire, and lead high performers, creating a culture that motivates and retains the top global talent who are great fit to reach OPTOMAN’s vision.
Ensure that strategy and vision is achieved by excellent execution.
Ensure hypothesis and data-driven experimentation frameworks are used in every process.
Ensure effective AI & Software & Automation is part of organization's DNA.

Qualifications:

Led company from <€10M to €30M+ annual revenue with high EBITDA margins in product-technology led business in photonics, semiconductors, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, information technology, or life science technology (Ideal Company Profile)
Led Ideal Company Profile serving/growing business with customers in Global markets (EMEA & North America or Asia)
Clear evidence of ability to attract, lead and retain top global talent

Advantages:

Had two or more exits or raised capital or scaled to €30M+ with one or more different ICP industries
Significant part of the led ICP budgets was dedicated to R&D
Achieved exceptional results in other C-level or similar roles (CTO, CSO, COO) in two or more different industries
Successfully used OKRs or similar frameworks for operational excellence in practice
Clear evidence of hypothesis and data-driven rapid experimentation frameworks implementation and adaptation in ICP
Implemented and successfully utilized frameworks for B2B sales & marketing: KAM, ABM, ABS or similar
Using AI tools weekly for personal productivity and has implemented at least 2 successful AI & automation projects in organizations at POC and 2 at production level
