Summary
As Managing Director/Principal of Capital Formation, you will focus on the firm's fundraising and investor relations efforts in Europe, targeting institutional Limited Partners (LPs), including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations and family offices. Your mission will be to strengthen the firm's presence in Europe, identify new capital sources, and nurture enduring relationships with existing investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive capital formation strategy tailored to European institutional LPs, driving commitments across the firm’s strategies.
- Investor Relationships: Cultivate and manage relationships with existing and prospective institutional investors, acting as a trusted advisor to their investment teams.
- Market Positioning: Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings, enhancing its brand recognition among key stakeholders.
- Product Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on the firm’s investment strategies, articulating their value propositions and competitive advantages.
- Collaboration: Work closely with investment teams, portfolio managers, and senior leadership to ensure alignment in messaging and strategy.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage market intelligence and investor feedback to inform product development and fundraising approaches.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior members of the Capital Formation team and contribute to the firm's overall culture of collaboration and excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven Track Record: 10+ years of experience in institutional fundraising or business development within asset management.
- Product Knowledge: Success raising capital for real assets or alternative credit strategies.
- Deep Relationships: Established network of relationships with European institutional LPs, particularly pension funds, insurance companies, and sovereign wealth funds.
