Established and owned by Hertfordshire County Council, Herts at Home has been providing care services since 2018. We are value-driven and reflect the ethos of the public sector but combine this with a commercial approach. Our staff team are our biggest asset, and we have grown steadily to employ more than 250 staff. With a turnover of £8m pa we specialise in providing home care and extra care services. We are now looking to strengthen our board with up to two further non-executive directors.
We would be interested in hearing from you if you have experience in the following areas: marketing, recruitment and HR, business development and strategy, housing or care services. With a commercial or not-for-profit background, you will provide guidance, support and constructive challenge as part of our friendly board.
This is an unremunerated position, with reasonable expenses paid, and we are looking for a time commitment equivalent to seven days per year. In return, we can offer you an exciting opportunity to help lead and develop a growing company that works closely with the County Council and a range of partners.
