Reports To: Chapter 13 Trustee and Co-Directors of Operations
Job Description: Must be detail-oriented, work independently, in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude. Ninety (90%) of daily work will include but is not limited to the following:
• Analyze 341 meeting notes and draft appropriate objections to plan confirmation and other
appropriate pleadings.
• Drafts, formats and files objections to amended and modified plans.
• Drafts and files motions and objections to proofs of claim.
• Drafts and files orders.
• Determines required parties to receive notice.
• Drafts and files notices of hearing for all motions and plan objections requiring hearings.
• Drafts and files notices of withdrawal when needed.
• Docket all drafting, formatting and filing by executive assistants of objections, responses,
motions, objection to claims, orders and notices of withdrawal
• Mail copies of objections to plan confirmation, objections and responses to motions to required
parties of all pleadings not noticed by a third party noticing service.
• Provide principal paralegal and technical support to Staff Attorneys.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding debtor and creditor personal, employment, and financial
information.
Requirements: 3-5 years of experience required.
• High School diploma is required; College Degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with computer systems is preferred but not required.
• Experience in the field of bankruptcy is preferred but not required.
• Extensive knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of Court ECF System and requirements.
• Ability to analyze complex data and exercise judgment.
• Attention to detail. Organizational skills. Time management skills.
• Prioritization skills. Some advanced computer skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of basic office procedure and terminology.
The salary corresponds with experience, with a range starting at $48,000 with benefits. The
