An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated and Specialist Medicine Clinical Group at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust for a
Director of Operations and Partnerships. The role of Director of Operations and Partnerships is a pivotal position, crucial to the day-to-day operational management of the Trust. We seek candidates with extensive operational experience who are ready to make a significant impact within one of the UK’s largest acute hospital trusts. As a high-profile and complex role, it demands extensive relevant experience and a unique set of personal attributes to deliver in a fast paced, dynamic and agile setting.
The Director of Operations and Partnerships will provide strategic leadership by developing and implementing operational strategies to ensure delivery of operational excellence and high-quality services. There are two Director of Operations and Partnerships posts for the eight directorates within the Clinical Group. The posts collaboratively support and manage these Directorates to ensure high performance and quality is delivered across the wide portfolio of clinical services. The post will manage operational budgets and identify opportunities for savings while ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards, mitigate operational risks, represent the Clinical Group at cross organisational meetings and deputise for the Clinical Group Chief Executive. By fostering cross-departmental collaboration with clinical, administrative, and executive teams and engaging external stakeholders across the South East London (SEL) region; the Director of Operations and Partnerships will promote integration, consistency and innovation in service delivery. Regular reporting and communication to the CEO, senior leadership and external partners will ensure transparency, strengthen stakeholder relationships and support continuous performance improvement.
Guy’s and St Thomas’ have developed a Group Operating Model with the formation of four clinical groups, each led by a CEO and a clinical group executive team which enables senior decision making closer to the front line.
The Integrated And Specialist Medicine Clinical Group Was Formed In April 2022 And Operates With a Budget Of Over £500m And a Workforce Of More Than 8,000 Staff. It Oversees Over 100 Services With Over Half Delivered Within Community Settings And Handles Over 1.1m Patient Contacts Annually. The Clinical Group Comprises Eight Vibrant Directorates
