Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Managing Director with a proven track record in franchising operations to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a franchisor, with an in-depth understanding of franchise operations, business development, and franchisee relations. As MD, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our franchise business, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and profitability across all units, while supporting our long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the CEO and executive team to define and execute the company’s long-term strategic plan.
- Oversee and lead all operational aspects of the business, including franchise support, training, and compliance.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support scalable growth and operational excellence across the franchise network.
- Ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and alignment with brand standards across all franchise locations.
- Lead initiatives to enhance franchisee satisfaction and support, including communication, performance improvement, and conflict resolution.
- Optimise supply chain and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Drive process improvements, operational innovations, and the implementation of best practices within the franchise system.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance and operational KPIs, providing data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
- Lead a high-performing operations team, including regional managers and franchise support staff.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, and regulatory requirements for both franchisor and franchisees.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally as a MD or similar, within a franchise business.
- Previous experience as a franchisor, with a deep understanding of franchise models, franchisee relations, and franchise operations.
- Strong operational, strategic, and financial acumen, with a proven ability to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both internal teams and franchisees.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on building strong relationships across the organization.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
