Non-Executive Director – Nottingham City GP Alliance

Nottingham City GP Alliance (NCGPA) is seeking an experienced Non-Executive Director (NED) to join our Board and contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of our organisation.
The Role
As a Non-Executive Director, you will provide oversight, expertise, and strategic guidance to help NCGPA achieve its goals. You will bring an independent perspective to our Board and work with the team to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
Managerial expertise with a strong background in governance and system-level working.
Operational expertise to support organisational transformation and sustainable growth.
A sound understanding of General Practice and the challenges faced by primary care today.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities , offering new perspectives and insights.
Financial and risk management skills , with an understanding of budgets, resource allocation, and accountability.
Leadership and relationship-building skills , to support effective collaboration and partnership working.
A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and an understanding of how these values enhance organisational success.
Good judgement, integrity, and the ability to challenge constructively while maintaining a supportive approach.

Time Commitment and Remuneration
This is a part-time, non-executive role, requiring approximately 1-2 days per month , including Board meetings and occasional additional commitments. An honorarium will be provided.
