Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Non-Executive Director (NED) in Finance and M&A within the Luxury Lifestyle (SME) sector at Luxury Recruit International. The role will involve strategic financial planning, mergers and acquisitions activities, and providing financial expertise to support business growth. While the role is based in London, some remote work is acceptable.

About the Role
Sector: Luxury Lifestyle and Home Interiors
Location: Flexible, with periodic in-person board meetings (HQ: Central London)
Commitment: Estimated 12-15 days per year, including quarterly board meetings (in-person or virtual) and ad hoc sessions as needed.
Luxury Executive, a division of the Experts in Luxury Group, is a dynamic SME in the luxury lifestyle and home interiors space. Renowned for its bespoke designs and high-quality offerings, the company is rapidly expanding its international footprint. To support its ambitious growth strategy—including scaling operations, entering new markets, and preparing for potential mergers and acquisitions—Luxury Executive seeks a seasoned Non-Executive Director (NED) with a strong background in Finance, M&A, and business scaling.
Role Summary The NED will play a crucial role in guiding the company’s strategic growth, providing high-level financial and operational expertise, and ensuring robust governance. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in scaling businesses and managing M&A activities, offering strategic insight to help drive sustainable growth in the luxury sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer independent, strategic advice to the board and executive team to support long-term business objectives.
- Develop and oversee financial strategies, including planning, risk management, and ensuring alignment with the company’s goals.
- Identify and execute M&A opportunities, including due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration.
- Provide technical insight into scaling operations, particularly within the luxury lifestyle and home interiors markets.
- Monitor corporate governance practices to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and best practices.
- Act as a mentor and trusted advisor to the leadership team, fostering innovation and effective decision-making.
- Leverage industry networks to identify strategic partnerships, growth opportunities, and funding sources.
- Represent shareholder and stakeholder interests, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and values.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Non-Executive Director, senior advisor, or executive in an SME environment, ideally in luxury, lifestyle, or design-oriented sectors.
- Strong expertise in business scaling, operational efficiencies, and market expansion.
- Demonstrable experience in M&A, including deal structuring, negotiation, and integration.
- Robust financial acumen with the ability to contribute to budgeting, financial planning, and risk assessment.
- Deep understanding of corporate governance and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to challenge constructively and foster innovation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and rapport with stakeholders.
- A strong network within the luxury retail, lifestyle, or home interiors industries is highly desirable.
Remuneration
- Competitive day rate or annual fee, commensurate with experience and market benchmarks.
