Non-Executive Board Director Job Description
The University of Suffolk is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Non-Executive Board Director to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our success, providing strategic guidance and direction to our organization. As a Non-Executive Board Director, you will work closely with our executive team, other board members, and stakeholders to ensure the university's overall success.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the university's executive team and board members
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Review and approve financial statements, budgets, and business plans
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners
- Support the university's fundraising efforts and contribute to the development of fundraising strategies
- Ensure the university's mission and values are reflected in all decision-making processes
- Previous experience as a Non-Executive Board Director or similar role
- Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of the higher education sector is preferred
- Experience working in the Health, Nursing & Social Care industries is preferred
