Role Overview:

As a Non-Executive Director (NED), you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic oversight, governance, and guidance to VE3’s leadership team. The NED will leverage extensive industry experience and networks to support VE3’s business growth, ensure robust governance, and champion innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight:

Provide high-level guidance and constructive challenge to the executive team on VE3’s strategy, objectives, and priorities.
Contribute to long-term planning and decision-making, ensuring alignment with VE3’s mission and values.

Governance and Compliance:

Ensure VE3 adheres to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in all operations.
Support the board in maintaining a robust governance framework, fostering transparency and accountability.

Industry Expertise and Insights:

Share insights on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market opportunities.
Offer advice on navigating challenges specific to IT consultancy and digital transformation markets.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Leverage personal networks to identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations.
Act as a brand ambassador for VE3, promoting the organization’s reputation and credibility.

Risk Management:

Provide independent perspectives on key risks and opportunities, helping to shape a balanced approach to growth and innovation.

Board Participation:

Attend and contribute to regular board meetings, providing independent judgment and oversight.
Participate in sub-committees (if applicable) to focus on specific aspects such as audit, remuneration, or strategy.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience:
Proven track record in a senior leadership or advisory role, ideally within IT consultancy, technology, or a related sector.
Experience as a Non-Executive Director or board advisor is a plus.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of enterprise technology, digital transformation, or public sector IT frameworks.
Familiarity with regulatory environments and governance requirements in the UK.
Skills:
Strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and contribute to long-term planning.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.
