Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is seeking an inspiring and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through a period of transformation.
Your Mission:
As CEO, you will be at the helm of a dynamic industry, ensuring strong governance, driving innovation, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and responsibility.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing bold leadership through a pivotal period of change.
- Driving effective regulation and ensuring the highest standards of integrity across the sport.
- Championing governance and welfare to maintain and enhance GBGB’s reputation.
- Implementing a compelling strategic vision set by the GBGB Board.
- Promoting and executing GBGB’s Welfare Strategy, ensuring the care and well-being of greyhounds remain at the heart of operations.
- Supporting commercial growth by working with stakeholders to develop a sustainable financial future for the industry.
- Building a more inclusive and diverse sport, making greyhound racing accessible to all communities.
- To develop further relationships with bookmakers to ensure that suitable levy funding is sustainable.
- Overseeing financial strategy in collaboration with the Director of Finance to manage budgets effectively.
- Inspiring and leading a dedicated team, ensuring GBGB staff and resources are aligned for success.
- Engaging with key stakeholders, from industry leaders to media representatives, shaping public perception and fostering strong partnerships.
- Representing GBGB on the Board of the BGRF, advocating for the sport at the highest levels.
Who You Are:
- Proven experience as a CEO, MD, or Senior Board member, with a track record of delivering impact.
- Strong strategic management skills, particularly in times of change and challenge.
- A solid grasp of financial management, including budget oversight and business acumen in a not-for-profit regulatory environment.
- A deep commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusivity.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
- Resilience and adaptability to thrive under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
- A strong understanding of, or willingness to develop knowledge in, animal welfare and greyhound racing.
