Description
The CEO of the Captive for Management business is responsible for the strategic direction, client pipeline and operational development of the Captive division. This role will involve driving the growth of the business, ensuring regulatory compliance and building strong relationships with clients, regulators and internal teams.
This role will sit on both the Global Solutions Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Insurance Solutions Leadership Team (SLT) and while it is focused on delivering the Captive Management business, it is expected to represent and support Davies wide growth and success.
Note: This role can be based in London USA or Bermuda
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company's long-term business strategy, aligning with overall corporate goals.
- Develop and oversee an operating model for the Captive Management business which aligns all core processes across the Captive Management estate working to one agreed strategy.
- Identify and capitalize growth opportunities, expanding the company's captive insurance client base.
- Take ownership of the business's financial performance, including managing budgets, forecasting and reporting to the Board. Monitor and control costs to ensure profitability of the captive management business.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development and accountability. Ensure adequate resources and training are in place to support business goals whilst developing a robust succession plan.
- Act as a key representative at market events, promoting the company's interests and reputation.
- Implement strategies to improve operational resilience and increase profitability.
- Serves on a number of Boards and Committees, this includes the IS Board.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance, ensuring the company operates within legal and ethical boundaries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients and regulators.
- Work with Group and other GS colleagues to identify and drive cross sell activities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven leadership and decision-making experience with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire teams.
- Extensive Captive market experience at executive level and knowledge of insurance regulations.
- In depth knowledge of the regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Able to demonstrate proactive participation in Boards and ability to challenge appropriately both internally and with external stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking of business acumen with the ability to drive long term Ability to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Qualified in a profession qualification (CA, CP, ACCA, ACII or equivalent)
