Advisory Board Member for Life Sciences Week

Introduction: Life Sciences Week is seeking experienced professionals to join our Advisory Board. This pivotal role involves guiding the strategic direction and overall organisation of our premier event dedicated to the life sciences industry.
We are looking for four individuals with substantial experience in conference organisation, sponsorship management, and robust connections within the life sciences sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice and guidance on the planning and execution of Life Sciences Week.
- Identify and engage potential sponsors, leveraging extensive industry contacts.
- Advise on best practices for event organisation to enhance attendee experience and operational efficiency.
- Offer insights into industry trends to keep the event relevant and impactful.
- Facilitate connections with key industry leaders and decision-makers to support the event's goals.
- Participate in regular meetings with the event management team to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies.
We are looking for one or more of the following:
- Demonstrable experience in organising large-scale conferences or events, preferably within the life sciences or a related field.
- Strong experience in managing sponsorships, including acquisition and relationship management.
- Established network within the life sciences industry, with direct contacts at senior levels.
- Excellent strategic thinking and advisory skills.
- Ability to provide practical, actionable advice that balances innovation with feasibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively articulating ideas and engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Expectations:
- Advisory Board members are not involved in day-to-day operations but are expected to provide high-level guidance and strategic oversight.
- Commitment to participate in bi-monthly meetings, either virtually or in person, and additional sessions as needed leading up to the event.
